The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for directing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating efficacy of operations of patient care services while ensuring safe, efficient, quality care. Collaborate with the administrative executive team, governing board, medical staff, community leaders, and other institutions to improve overall health and quality of life for the populations served. Work in accordance with the standards, guidelines, and regulations of DHS, CMS, and other governing bodies or per directives by the Administrator, CEO. The Chief Nursing Officer adheres to the principles, philosophy and mission of East Adams Rural Healthcare in all aspects of job performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current CPR certification.
- Licensed by Board of Registered Nurses in the State of Washington.
Masters degree in nursing is required, health care, or hospital administration preferred.
- Certification in nursing administration by a nationally recognized nursing organization preferred.
- Knowledge of computer software programs Word, Excel, E-mail, and Power Point or equivalents.
- Extensive job knowledge in nursing, patient care services and administrative practice.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience. 5 or more preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years progressive nursing leadership experience with demonstrated success. 5 or more preferred.
- Ability to influence clinical practice.
- Strong analytic problem-solving skills, using a system’s approach.
- Effective skills in professional writing, interpersonal communications and negotiations.
- Organizational skills to manage time efficiently.
- Results oriented in human resource management practices.
- Adapts to changing environments, serves as the change agent for Clinical Services.
- Initiates program development and accomplishes outcomes.
- Demonstrates initiative for professional development of self and others.
