Summary: Oversight of all revenue cycle outsourced vendors.  Oversight will include but not limited to holding outsourced vendors responsible for meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).  Oversight will include developing, implementing, and driving results through action plans.  Oversight will include being a working liaison between East Adams Rural Healthcare (EARH) and the outsourced vendors.  Manager will also oversee all internal employees who support revenue cycle including but not limited to claim management and treasury/cash application.
 
Essential Functions: Position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will exhibit strength of character and be a self-starter and self-motivated to bring EARH into the future.
Skilled in leading change management to implement new and “best practice “approaches to business processes to improve customer service, operational effectiveness and financial outcomes.
Position will manage the day-to-day internal and external claim management team.
Position will set the KPIs and SLAs for external vendors then manage to the commitments.  External vendors will include but not limited to billing, coding, self-pay, payer provider credentialing, and statement generation for self-pay.
Position will oversee the treasury functions of claim management including but not limited to cash positing of payer payments and setting monthly and annual cash collection goals.
Position will assist with all annual audit and Centers for Medicare (CMS) cost report requirements applicable to claim management and payer payment posting.
Other duties as assigned.
 
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/HealthCare/Business or comparable experience.
 
Experience Required: Five years relevant revenue cycle managerial experience with preference given for rural emergency hospital billing/collection experience.
 
Licenses/Certification: AAHAM Certified Revenue Cycle Executive or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional preferred
