JOB SUMMARY
Clinical laboratory MLT/MT to perform duties as a generalist in a rural eastern Washington critical access laboratory, working within both a team environment during regular hours and independently when on-call. Working knowledge of:
- Various clinical analyzers/platforms.
- Various manual testing methods.
- Clinical laboratory Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA).
- Overall clinical laboratory operations and regulations
All candidates must be willing to accept a rigorous on-call schedule that may include up to 10 on-call nights per month, including weekends. All candidates must be able to respond within 15 minutes during normal weather conditions and within 30 minutes during inclement weather conditions. On-call lodging may be available.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Working knowledge of:
- Various clinical analyzers/platforms.
- Various manual testing methods.
- Clinical laboratory Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA).
- Overall clinical laboratory operations and regulations.
CPR/BLS certification. - Must have or obtain a Washington state MA-P (Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist) license.
- Current certification in DOT Chain of Custody Toxicology Collection-Preferred not required.
- All candidates must possess certification from ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology, AMT (American Medical Technologists), or equivalent.
EDUCATION
In Accordance With (IAW) CLIA CFR 493.1489 Standard; Testing personnel, specifically parts (b)(2)(3)(4), this position is available to: Medical Technologists with an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited
institution.
An MLT with an associate degree from an accredited institution.
Military trained MLT’s with an occupational specialty of “Medical Lab Specialist” or “Medical Lab Technician”, with a military transcript.

Medical Technologist Salary Range: $29.65-$38.69 DOE
Medical Laboratory Technologist: $23.55-$30.73 DOE
