Radiology/CT Tech
Position Summary,
Operate x-ray and CT equipment in accordance with Inland Imaging and EARH guidelines and procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury as prescribed by physicians.
Job Responsibilities
Explain examination and procedure to patients and position the patients for x-ray and/or CT scan
Prepare, operate and care for equipment and other technical instruments used for administration of contrast agent
Perform diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and rooms.
Properly position patient(s) for all testing, including determining proper voltage and exposure time for each radiograph
Adjust exposure cone to direct x-rays on a specific area and reduce secondary radiation
Follow proper personal protective equipment requirements for both self and patients
Must wear a film badge to record radiation exposure
Properly code requisitions for billing
Make electronic teleradiolgy form and send to Inland Imaging for over read
Preserve the confidentiality of all patient and employee information
Maintain a positive working rapport with physicians, patients, co-workers, and visitors
Support District in a positive and professional manner while on the job and during non work hours
Maintain good work habits such as punctuality, following the chain of command, being a constructive team member
Utilize resources effective and efficiently
Demonstrate initiative by performing assigned work in a timely and professional manor
Comply with District policies and procedures
Maintain good personal appearance, hygiene and health habits
Maintain environmental and electrical safety
Perform related duties as required to meet department and hospital needs.
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or GED and certification in related field
Training and Experience:
High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of college in related field
Current Department of Health Radiologic Technologist Certification required

Ability to stay on task doing repetitive work
Must be a team player
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, (written, and verbal)
Strong attention to details, highly organized, computer literate
Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
Ability to multi-task is an asset.
PC skills a must and must be proficient in Microsoft products
High degree of professionalism
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment
Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division accurately
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
Reaching and bending for handling documents and files
Talking and hearing to give and receive information
